Conceptualized and directed by Prof. Donald Muldrow Griffith, the film portraits Roswitha Günther, founder and director of Pfeiffers Ballhaus, who for over 20 years produced Pfeiffers Ballhaus at the Berlin citizen television station Alex - Open Channel Berlin. The documentary reveals a picture of a woman, who with determination, community spirit and heart, offers especially the elder but also the younger generation, the possibility to participate in a social and artistic life, to meet each other, to dance and while having cake and coffee to participate for several hours, in an artistic program with music, song and performance, which at the same time is produced for television at Alex - Open Channel Berlin.

Nach dem Konzept und unter der Regie von Prof. Donald Muldrow Griffith zeigt der Film ein Porträt über Roswitha Günther, Gründerin und Leiterin von Pfeiffers Ballhaus, die seit über 20 Jahren im Berliner Bürgerfernsehen Alex - Offener Kanal Berlin Pfeiffers Ballhaus produziert. Die Dokumentation zeichnet das Bild einer Frau, die mit viel Durchhaltevermögen, Gemeinschaftssinn und Herz besonders der älteren Generation aber auch jüngeren Menschen die Möglichkeit bietet, am sozialen und künstlerischen Leben teilzunehmen, sich zu begegnen, zu tanzen und bei Kaffee und Kuchen mehrere Stunden an einem künstlerischen Programm aus Musik, Gesang und Artistik teilzunehmen, das gleichzeitig aufgezeichnet und im Fernsehsender Alex - Offener Kanal Berlin ausgestrahlt wird.

...both in her book "Migration, Diasporas, Citizenship: Migrants or Expatriates? Americans in Europe" as well as in her article "Migrants or Expatriates? Challenging Terms", which was published in the festival brochure of the XXIX. 2014 Black International Cinema Berlin / “Footprints in the Sand?” Exhibition 2014: "... Many of the broad assumptions about [...] migrant groups are based on what is visible or noticeable. But how representative are these noticeable practices? Can they really be said to characterize the entire migrant group? Maybe they can – but my research suggests that we should take a second look at the broad assumptions we – as a general society – make about populations. The work that Fountainhead® Tanz Théâtre is engaged in seeks to achieve precisely this sort of second look, questioning and challenging stereotypes. Such work is very valuable.”

Zwei Begriffe auf den Prüfstand gestellt”, der in der Festivalbroschüre zum XXIX. 2014 Black International Cinema Berlin / “Footprints in the Sand?” Exhibition 2014 publiziert wurde: “... Viele weit verbreitete Unterstellungen über [...] Migrantengruppen beruhen auf dem, was sichtbar oder bemerkbar ist. Aber wie repräsentativ sind diese bemerkbaren Praktiken? Kann wirklich unterstellt werden, dass sie die gesamte Migrantengruppe charakterisieren? Vielleicht ist dies der Fall – doch meine Forschung legt nahe, dass wir einen genaueren Blick auf weitreichende Unterstellungen werfen sollten, die wir – als Gesellschaft – über bestimmte Bevölkerungsgruppen machen. Die Arbeit des Fountainhead® Tanz Théâtre strebt genau diesen genaueren Blick an und stellt damit Stereotypen auf den Prüfstand. Solche Arbeit ist äußerst wichtig.”
