ARS or you can make a trip to Linz... if you are a networker, a
dreamer, a coder, a lab worker, a body modifier....
we have all night programmation, UNFINISED NETWORK, UNFINISHED
CODE, UNFINISHED LAB, UNFINISHED BODY, UNFINISHED DREAM
which goes from sunset to sunrise for the nights of September
6-8.

Founded as an artists’ collective, Stadtwerkstatt (STWST), a
striving, living cultural space prides itself as an autonomous
structure since 1979, is celebrating its 40 year existence. In
2019, STWST48x5 „STAY UNFINISHED“, the 5th edition of
Stadtwerkstatt‘s 48-hour showcase extravanganza brings together
critical producers and artists to negotiate permanently
unfinished conditions.
STWST48x5 STAY UNFINISHED presents an array of programming:
STWST New Art Contexts: SANDHOLE by Franz Xaver accompanied by
Heike Kaltenbrunner, DEEP DRILLING FOR CONTRACTS by Tanja
Brandmayr, ml-iso|la|tion|ism by taro, GIBLING LUCIFERENSIS by
taro and Eva Grün, CryptoBorders and ŦɏŁᵻⱣⱥ (ŦLⱣ) by Michael
Aschauer, the hydroponic construct NOTNOPONTON by Jakob
Breitwieser, and the ongoing Mycelium Network Society hosts an
MNS SUMMIT to further recruit the nodes.
Through open call and invitations: SOYBEAN FUTURES by Dimension
Plus, TeleAgriCulture by Julian Stadon, CIVIL WILDERNESS by
Claudia Reiche and Helene von Oldenburg, the group APRIORI and
the association RAUMERWEITERUNGSHALLE Berlin, and Darko Fritz’s
I_AM_STILL_ALIVE.HTML (2009) is resurrected to remind us the
unfinished internet error messages.
Highlighting the unfinished archive of Stadtwerkstatt 40 years,
two nights of UNFINISHED CLUB under the titles TALK RE:TALK and
ACT RE:ACT, each including five sessions, demand the public to
stay awake from Linz’ sunset to sunrise. UNFINISHED LIST brings
together five existing mailing lists (nettime, crumb, faces,
-empyre-, spectre) live on radio FRO. Years of mailing lists’
open archives are further processed and composted by Shu Lea
Cheang’s Composting the Net performance.
Furthermore at STWSTx5: UNFINISHED WORKSHOP, the UNFINISHED
SOCIAL KITCHEN, UNFINISHED GUESTS and the adding of new layers
to PREVIOUS LAYERS.
STWST48x5 STAY UNFINISHED program remain unfinished.
